Last Chance To See Hedwig And The Angry Inch’s Gender-Bending Rock

Rolling Stone magazine once wrote that Hedwig and the Angry Inch is “the first rock musical that truly rocks.” The Off-Broadway musical focuses on its title character, Hedwig Schmidt – a singer from East Germany who is the victim of a botched sex-change operation. In the states Hedwig plays gigs with the band, ‘The Angry Inch.’ The music is a nod to glam-rock and the stylings of artists like David Bowie, Lou Reed, and Iggy Pop.
