Election 2018: Seeking Solutions - An Illinois Issues Forum

Election 2018 - Seeking Solutions logo

Last year, NPR Illinois toured the state to discuss the ways in which the people and businesses of Illinois had been affected by the budget impasse. This year, we are touring again to explore new issues and start a conversation on how best to approach long-term solutions.

Our goal with the Election 2018-Seeking Solutions forums is to explore prominent issues discussed by candidates in the 2018 Illinois gubernatorial election.  We want to educate the public on state concerns and have a conversation about ways to solve them.

The discussion will be moderated by NPR Illinois News Director Sean Crawford.

Panelists:
Dr. Kyle L. Harfst, Executive Director, Office of Economic and Regional Development
Matt Donkin, Superintendent - Frankfort Schools-District 168
Jennifer Olsen, Carbondale Chamber of Commerce

The panel will be able to weigh in on topics surrounding access to healthcare, education, and economic opportunities. Panelists will also answer questions from both the moderator and the audience.  The program runs live on NPR Illinois (91.9) and on the NPR Illinois Facebook page for 1 hour from 6 PM -  7 PM.
