State Week: Bonding Bills, Dodging DACA, And Dumping Tickets

Gov. Bruce Rauner says his administration will finally go to the bond market to help refinance billions of dollars of unpaid bills. The move is expected to save the state hundreds of millions of dollars a year in interest penalties.

Meanwhile, the Illinois reaction to President Donald Trump's DACA decision was swift and severe, at least among Democrats. Attorney General Lisa Madigan joined other sstate in suing the president, but Rauner would not say whether he thinks the young immigrants without legal status should get to stay or be deported.

Finally, Democratic state Sen. Daniel Biss replaced his running mate over a controversy about American policy toward Israel.
