Julia Jacklin's debut album is called Don't Let The Kids Win.

A newcomer to the Sydney music scene, Julia Jacklin released her debut album, Don't Let The Kids Win, in October. Her songs reflect the feeling she has in her 20s as she watches younger people experiencing things she just went through. (Mind you, she doesn't feel old yet.)

Jacklin's music cannot be easily put into any one category, as it draws from elements of country, blues, folk and rock. She comes from an area right outside Sydney called the Blue Mountains and didn't start writing songs until she was in college. Hear Jacklin perform a live set in this session.
