Libraries offer more than the ability to check out books.

For centuries, libraries have played a vital role in convening people and connecting them to information — mostly through books. There have been a lot of doom-and-gloom predictions for the institutions since the dawn of the digital age. After all, what role does book sharing play in a world where information is everywhere?

But for those willing to think outside the box, the future of libraries looks bright.
