ISO's New Performance Lineup

The Illinois Symphony Orchestra has announced its new season.

Music Director Alastair Willis says the season that starts in October will include appearances from the Illinois Shakespeare Festival and young cellist Julie Albers.

The orchestra will perform "Rite of Spring'' by Igor Stravinsky in October, and Holidays in the Heartland Pops Concert will start in November. The season closes in May with works by Aaron Copland and Gustav Mahler.
 
 
The Illinois Symphony Chamber Orchestra opens its season in December.
