Sean Crawford talks with State Journal-Register Business Editor Tim Landis.

This week:

* $10 million I-55 project - Scheduled to begin this week; about a three-mile section on east side of Springfield and expected to be completed this fall.

* Route 66 landmark -  A couple of local residents have purchased the former Shea's Route 66 Museum site...or what's left of it...on Peoria Road with plans to open Route 66 themed auto-repair shop. But they say they'll also welcome tourists.

* Cannonball Jail -  Macoupin County and Route 66 preservationists hope to restore 1869 jail constructed partly with left over Civil War cannonballs. The jail also was a "stop" on Route 66 speeders and bootleggers back in the day.

*Gov. Bruce Rauner and First Lady Diana Rauner have relocated to a home on the Illinois State Fairgrounds while repairs take place at the Executive Mansion.  The Governor says private fundraising is nearing its goal for that work.
