A crowd of about 1,000 people gathered in Springfield at the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Museum last Friday. They were there to hear Neil deGrasse Tyson speak.
The well-known astrophysicist directs the Hayden Planetariumat the American Museum of Natural History in New York City. He also hosted "Cosmos: A SpaceTime Odyssey," the television show appeared on Fox and won four Emmy awards, and he's authored several books. Tyson spoke with reporters before he gave a speech while picking up the Lincoln Leadership Prize. Listen to part of that, as well as the talk he gave for fans and students.
