The Future Fund is an endowment that has awarded $69,000 to programs that help youth through a competitive application process.

Aren Dow, programs and marketing associate at the Community Foundation for the Land of Lincoln recorded an NPR Illinois Community Voices segment to highlight the work of the Young Philanthropists and their annual Future Fund grant.

In 2016, the organization provided Compass for Kids with $10,000 to support the Parent Teacher Home Visit Project, a high-impact, evidence based program designed to engage less advantaged parents in supporting the educational development of their children.

In past years, recipient organizations have included Girls on the Run of Central Illinois, Mini O'Beirne Crisis Nursery, Family Service Center, and Prairie Center Against Sexual Assault among others.

The 2017 recipient will be announced December 7, 5:30 PM at the Springfield and Central Illinois African American History Museum.  This reception is members only.
